Dinner and an ear

I had a friend over for dinner last night. She has had tough time of it recently as her and her husband are on a break at the moment. I thought a bit of good food, wine and a chance to let of some steam would be good for her. I think I am good listener and have been through some tough times as well so i hope I was able to help. I could not offer any great advice, but i don't think she was looking for that. She was glad to get out and have a change of scene. She is a fellow boater so it was a case of sticking together and working through this difficult time.
Lets hope this all works out for the both of them, we can only hope and give it time.
