Well I visited the Black Country museum today. It's a working museum based on the Victorian age and what was going on in the black country area.

As you walk in there is an indoor exhibition centre explaining what each area of the black country produced..

Here is a pump

Most of the museum is based outside it has mining

It also has a replica of the first steam pump, used to pump out flood water from mines..

One of the original things on site was the lime kilns.

It also has examples of Industry, such as the press

and the chain maker

There was also a good selection of working boats

I also took a trip through Dudley tunnel, you can do it in your own boat assuming you can fit and also you have to book 24hrs in advance, thought the trip boat was an easier option

It is well worth a visit and I glad I came to have a look..

Picked the lad up for a night of music and mayhem at Robin2 in Bilston. The Incompatible Otway and Barratt tour was there for the evening. They were, of course, excellent. I know John quite well from a number of gigs over several years, so chatted with him and Willy before the gig. Support were excellent too, one of those bands that you have to see rather than hear on CD, reggae on a couple of ukeleles, priceless, unfortunately their name escapes me. Can recommned the Old White Rose in Bilston for a pre-gig pint. They have a big range of real ales and food is good value. Mike
